Blombackaskolan is a two-parallel F–9 school with approximately 500 students and 70 staff members. The school is centrally located in Södertälje, next to Torekällberget, with proximity to nature and good transportation links. We offer a well-organized and stable school environment where the work teams form the foundation for the school's pedagogical development. Your responsibilities
You will teach our students in grade 6 in Swedish, English, and Social Studies. At Blombackaskolan, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the teaching. You create a positive learning environment with accessible teaching that sparks a desire to learn and gives students the opportunity to develop based on their conditions. In the classroom, you are a clear leader with high expectations, who builds trusting relationships and gives students the responsibility to work both independently and in groups. Your leadership and varied teaching contribute to security and study peace.
At Blombackaskolan, we work with language and knowledge-developing teaching, based on our jointly developed teaching model. You plan based on clear learning objectives with a focus on student participation and understanding. Reading in all subjects is an important part of the teaching, and you use structured reading activities and reading methods to strengthen students' reading skills and subject knowledge. You are part of both subject teams and work teams, where collegial learning, joint planning, and reflection enhance the quality of teaching. You also actively contribute to the school's overall development work and work for equitable and sustainable teaching for all students.

You are an engaged educator with an interest in school development and a strong belief in accessible teaching for all students. You have the ability to adapt teaching based on individual needs and create a safe and inclusive learning environment. You are professional, responsive, and solution-focused in your communication. As a colleague, you are collaborative and actively contribute to the collective effort to develop teaching and achieve good results for students.
Requirements:
- You have a degree with a teaching license for grade 6 in Swedish, English, and Social Studies.
- You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and have a formative approach to your teaching.
- You have competence and experience in working with a language and knowledge-developing approach with good results.
- You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and to communicate with students, guardians, and colleagues in a way that takes responsibility for the message and ensures that the recipient understands what you mean.
- You are a clear leader in the classroom and have the ability to adapt your teaching to the student group you meet.
Meritorious:
- You have a teaching license in additional subjects.
- You have experience and skill in using digital tools, and these tools are used consciously to strengthen students' learning.
- You have experience working in co-teaching with good results.

We offer you a fixed-term employment as a middle school teacher for 12 months at 100% with the possibility of extension. The position includes shared mentorship. You will be part of an engaged and skilled faculty with a good collaborative culture.
